Kath and Pete Douglas in the UK E-mail
We came over in 2000 to work and travel around Europe.
This site is to show our Photos and some of our experiences to all who may be interested. To all our friends in NZ or the UK - Hi! and why not send a photo or an email on what you are up to - we will put Photos up on the site so all can see.

We came from Christchurch in the South Island of New Zealand / Aotearoa (meaning ‘Land of the Long White Cloud’) and we are now living in Milton New Zealand map with Christchurch Keynes, UK. Christchurch lies on the east coast between the sandy beaches of Sumner and Brighton, the bays and bush clad valleys of Banks Peninsular and the river-braided patchwork of the Canterbury Plains, which stretch westwards towards the tallest mountains in New Zealand, the Southern Alps. Lord of the Rings country!
UK MapMilton Keynes where we now live is a "New" town about 60 miles north of London just off the M1 motorway. Milton Keynes is the name of one of the villages that were in the original designated area of the new "city" of Milton Keynes. This had the name Mideltone (middletown) in the Domesday Book and by 1422 the name of Kaynes had been added after the feudal family name Cahaignes.
Kath works for a company based in London that imports and sells Office Equipment - Shredders, Laminators, Pens, Files etc and is the Service and Quality Controller.
Pete has been with a Computer company that refurbishes and re-sells ex-lease IT Equipment, processes the same for Leasing companies and re-cycles that which is no longer of any use.
Marshall Douglas

A home has to have a Cat and Marshall Douglas has taken over. He's a Cat's Protection puss who didn't have a home but now as far he is concerned we are his slaves and are there to do his bidding. White with Black Spots and an attitude, he has taken over the neighbourhood, beating up the other cats and being a right bully. But still he is a character and shows affection (or is that a "feed me" message) See photos in his section.

Almost Ripped Off in Krakow, Auschwitz
Dublin trip
Gay Pari
All Blacks v Wales
Almost Ripped Off in Krakow, Auschwitz Hello again. Some of you seemed to enjoy our impressions of Berlin so now I'll tell you about Krakow, a captivating city with seemingly enough history for the entire world. Unlike Warsaw, Krakow was not devastated during the Second World War and it's historic architecture survived intact together with an enduring sense of tradition and legend among the Cracovian people. I will mention a couple of popular legends later.
Dublin trip As promised, here is a recount of the sights of Dublin and our impressions.  However, quite a bit has gone on since and we are getting behind so I shall be as brief as possible.
Gay Pari How are you all?  Yes, we got back from Paris safe and sound.  Had a great time, as one does in Paris.  We did the Eiffel Tower on Friday because we figured the queues would be shorter than on Saturday or Sunday.  Only had to wait about an hour in the various waiting places (first you queue to buy your ticket, then to get into a lift that takes you up to the first & second levels if too lazy to take the steps, then you queue to get into another lift to the top!).
All Blacks v Wales We both had Friday, 22 Nov off work and took our time driving to South Wales, Glamorgan.  It was the first time we had crossed the Mouth of the Severn - there are two massive bridges from which to chose to cross.  We did the Severn Bridge on the way over, paying £4.50 at the toll gate.  We stopped off in Chepstow for a little look around and cup of coffee.  After months of searching over the past year, we unexpectedly found a deep cup muffin tray in a pokey sized shop in Tin Pan Alley, much to our excitement. (Reminders of home...)
